The Mont Blanc Tunnel, closed last September for a series of maintenance works, will reopen 3 days early.
The reopening will take place on December 15th at 4pm.
As stated in a note from the managing body of the Tmb-Geie tunnel, "the technical maintenance sites started on 16 October are nearing completion, after 9 consecutive weeks of intense coactivity which saw a total of over 200 people employed and 50 companies, for a total of 20 million euros of investments".
The circulation of all vehicles will be restored upon completion of the verification tests of all safety systems.
However, the annual safety exercise is scheduled for December 18th at 5pm and a new traffic interruption will be necessary for 5 hours, from 5pm to 10pm.
