Romania is monitoring road transport of goods to reduce tax evasion and prevent illegal trade. For this purpose they developed the RO e-Transport platform.
The system will be used under the following conditions:
- Between two places within Romania
- In relation to intra-community acquisitions
- In relation to community formulas
- In relation to imports
- Related to exports
- Relating to intra-community transitions where the goods are in transit in Romania.
The platform accessible from the Romanian Ministry of Finance website will be interconnected with other Romanian information systems such as: the National Agency for Tax Administration or Customs Authority.
For those transporting goods it will be necessary to request the electronic document and the ITU code which will identify the goods transported, as well as indicating the sender and recipient, characteristics and value of the goods, place of loading and unloading and mode of transport.
The information requested must be declared within three days prior to transport of the goods.
