Last Monday 4 March, the long-awaited final approval finally arrived in the Chamber of Deputies, which concerns the international consignment note for road traffic and which can now also be managed in digital format: e-CMR.
The Italian parliament has in fact approved the bill (C.1261) ratifying Italy's accession to the additional protocol of the 1956 CMR convention.
Adherence to this protocol has been expected for some time, also strongly supported by SCORTRANS SRL having been among the main Italian pilot companies in the international transport sector for this important project.
The key points of this revolution will be:
- Simplify and speed up the processes of the entire logistics chain;
- Make transport documents safer;
- Strengthen the validity of the transport document also for tax purposes;
- Promote data interoperability.
We at SCORTRANS SRL are particularly satisfied with the result obtained, which will become a further fundamental step for the continued growth of our company.
